ACT Animal Crisis Team Edit

ACT is a group of volunteers providing supplies (such as crates, food, toys, bedding) physical support and FEMA certified volunteers as needed in the wake of major disasters, either natural or manmade. All suggestions are welcome and encouraged. It will take ALL OF US working together to achieve our goal. Let us know of any areas you may have experience from administration to animal handling.

Mission Statement: ACT's mission is to care for animals in disaster zones within hours or days by fielding trained volunteers who are provisioned with supplies, equipment and transportation in the United States. ACT's member volunteers come from a network of partner animal rescues and shelters and are trained to work within an established Incident Command Structure. ACT assists partners and individual members with disaster training and education, disaster planning, and disaster response. ACT establishes operational permission for its trained members with regional authorities.
